Bike has been in inside storage for several years .It will start and run but needs tuned . Can be stubborn starting from sitting .Tires will need replaced ...rear brakes don't work ..brake fluid has ran out while in storage .Im sure it's going to need tune up ect .it was project but now it's eating up space I need in garage .I have cleaned carbs out and put in new battery. It is sold strictly as-is absolutely no warranty .It needs gone over but is fairly clean for a 40 year old bike.I have a clear Ohio title in my name.prefer cash payment local pickup only ...can be looked at by appointment .it is for sale locally ..I reserve the right to end auction early if sells before end of auction .

Retirement is rife but thankfully not for Vale

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

The racing season may be over but the winter nights will surely fly by as we watch reviews, debate events of 2012 racing and relish the excitement that lays ahead in 2013. Unfortunately retirement seems to be popular right now so with major names leaving BSB, WSB and Moto GP things will never quite be the same. I’m still in shock that Casey Stoner has decided to head back home for a spot of fishing.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
