Yamaha Other description

This is NOT a barn find hunk of junk. This is a great original stock bike with a REBUILT motor including crank seals. It will not blow up because of 40 year old seals. This bike needs literally zero work done. It is ready to ride with confidence.

This is a rebuilt RD400. Paint is the original rare Geneva Green. Motor was rebuilt with Wiseco pistons about a year and half ago and has about 1,200 miles since. Crank was checked and still within spec. BT45 tires have the same amount of miles. Engine and autolube pump were rebuilt with brand new seals like any old 2 stroke needs. Has stock airbox with new Uni drop in filter. Bike rides great and pulls like it should. Bike has never failed me and I've taken it on trips from Bordentown to Toms River in the summer multiple times with no issues. The only defect is on the left exhaust there is some battery stain but not on the frame. It's a great example of an original 70's two stroke. I have the bike for sale locally as well. Please contact me and I will try to answer your questions. I will NOT ship. Shipping is up to the buyer. I will try to help where I can. Thanks.

Here is a video of a cold start. I know it's hard to see but my hand is on the cylinder to prove that it is cold. https://youtu.be/_WHGj6H9WoI?list=PLv3yu8DjxRN9xGp9Tt3mqV1Eqe3sVLKAW

Yamaha Motor Europe asked three of the world’s top builders to work their magic on the company’s flagship power cruiser, the VMax.
