Yamaha Other description

Up for auction a 1975 Yamaha RD 350.

I purchased this bike a few months ago.
The previous owner had the bike painted.
He also did some rough TLC on the frame. I do not believe it was completly disassembled.
No clear coat and decals were done at the time.
New tires were installed, fork seals and dust covers.
He did not not complete the bike, because the engine sounded really bad (pistons problem).

I removed the top end and rebuilt it. 0.50. last week.
The engine sounds great and runs super smooth.
It has a brand new battery.

New decals and clear coat was done a few weeks ago.
Paint looks like new.

The clutch, brakes and transmission are very good.
All lights, horn, etc are good too.

Chrome is fair. no dents, but some pitting here and there.
The seat cover will need to be replaced.
The spokes have rust....they may clean up.

Note: This is a great bike for a full restoration,,,,not too much more to invest.
It comes with a clear title.

Engine and frame serial numbers match.
Look at the video and pictures. ask all the questions you want.
Do not expect a showroom bike.

good luck

The new Yamaha Tenere is preparing to debut

Sun, 30 Jul 2017

The next-generation 689cc touring enduro is almost ready. The bike, magnificent in its conciseness and Dakar functionality, is a kind of preview of the future SUV that will replace the XT660Z Tenere. The rival of the BMW F800 GS/F 800 GS Adventure and the promising KTM 790 Adventure borrowed the 689cc inline-two from the Yamaha MT-07 and XSR700 (on these bikes it develops 74.8 hp and 68 Nm).

The Early History Of The Yamaha Champions Riding School

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

This just in from the Yamaha Champions Riding School. And if you believe it, we have some snake oil to sell you… The Yamaha Champions Riding School didn’t just spring from the tarmac like a jack-in-the-box with light rebound damping. No.

Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher.  Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.
