Yamaha Other description

1975 Yamaha mx80. Purchased as father/son project because was same make/model as my childhood bike but my son lost interest. Replaced kick starter gear and kick starter, side cover gasket, kill switch, cleaned carb, replaced gas lines, adjusted points and she fired right up. Ridden through some trails and up an down the field but has been sitting since summer, will start but carb needs to be cleaned so it will idle. Tranny shifts through all gears but 2nd gear does not engage. Auto oil injection was removed prior to me owning so gas is mixed which i prefer. Keep in mind it is 38yrs old so is not new and pretty, has dents/dings. This would be good for an antique restoration or someone wanting a cheap bike for their kid.$300.0.

A new subframe and seat were made for the motorcycle, a Renthal handlebar and branded CRD controls were installed. The engine has been completely restored, the crankcase covers are sanded and varnished.
