Yamaha Other description

1969 Yamaha CT1/CT175 Non-running, 2-stroke, ran when parked (6-8 months ago), has spark and decent compression and starts but dies out quickly, I'm not sure why it wont run never looked into it just need it out of my way, had many new parts before parking as we were riding it fairly regularly, it does need a shifter pedal and front brake lever. Bike sits much lower than you might think by just looking at pictures, makes a good bike for youth. I am asking $550 or best offer and will consider trades or partial trades on things such as motorcycles, quads, guns, hunting, farm equipment etc NEED GONE ASAP call or txt anytime at 812 583 5859

Rossi Finishes Second to World Champion Loeb at Monza Rally Show

Mon, 28 Nov 2011

Valentino Rossi is back on the podium. Not a MotoGP podium, mind, but for a rally car race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. (Post updated with video.) Driving a Ford Fiesta RS with co-driver Carlo Cassina, Rossi won two of nine stages and finished second overall to eight-time World Rally Car Champion Sebastien Loeb at the 2011 Monza Rally Show.

Ben Spies Signs Contract Extension with Yamaha

Wed, 08 Jun 2011

Yamaha has signed Ben Spies to a one-year contract extension to continue racing on its MotoGP factory team in 2012. The extension comes after Spies, currently seventh in the Championship standings, recorded his first podium finish of the 2011 season, a third place result at Catalunya. Spies earned two other podium finishes in 2010 in his Rookie of the Year winning debut in the class with the Tech 3 satellite team.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
