Yamaha Other description
I am a YDS3C fan, and thought that when I retired I would enjoy restoring many of these. Well, grandchildren and old age to funny things to garage shop ambition.
What I have here is a matching numbers, titled, complete bike ready for restoration. When I acquired this bike a decade ago what drew me to it was that it was complete, straight, has a great gas tank, ( inside is clean, outside is straight, one badge is super and it alone is worth $100 in ebay), beautiful speedometer/odometer, with keys, and motor does not appear to have been tampered with. Now the downside is that the original owner's solution to fix some things was a bit awkward. The end of the shifter shaft was damaged and he welded a bolt head on to the end and fastened his own idea of a shift lever. As the bike sat and aged the kick starter lost it's ability to kick the engine over. This motor will have to be disassembled anyway to do a proper restoration, and these internal engine parts are easily sourced. I am willing to hold the bike for 30 days in order to help the buyer arrange shipping. |
