Yamaha FZ tech info
Yamaha FZ description
If you want a bike that does it all then the FZ1 should be somewhere on your shopping list, preferably near the top. An everyday-comfortable machine with standard-bike ergonomics and a stylish quarter-fairing. Its powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled, double overhead camshaft inline-Four engine sourced from the mighty YZF-R1, though slightly retuned for sharper midrange performance. Yamaha didnt just hit a home run with the FZ1, it socked a grand slam! For once, a manufacturer built a standard-style model around a sportbike engine and didnt dumb it down by sapping most of its exciting performance. That resulted in the FZ1 being about as entertaining as 2 wheels and an engine can get. This bike is a winner of Cycle World magazines Best Pre-owned Bikes. It is pretty easy to see why since this machine is all of the above. This bike has a GYTR aftermarket exhaust, is completely serviced and inspected. Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams
Wed, 26 Sep 2012It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
Lorenzo And Rossi Unveil Yamaha MotoGP 2014 Livery
Fri, 17 Jan 2014Yamaha’s official MotoGP outfit unveiled the team’s official 2014 livery in front of a packed audience in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team’s two factory riders, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, were on hand to proudly showcase their YZF-M1 motorcycles. As expected, blue, Yamaha’s factory color, plays a major role in the color scheme, but unlike last year where it was the dominant color, it is equally offset by contrasting white swaths on the upper fairing, fuel tank, and throughout the lower fairing.
