Yamaha FZ tech info
Yamaha FZ description
2013 Yamaha FZ1, 2013 FZ1!!!Think of the ZF1 as an upright R1 ready to take on the world. There s more fuel-injected power in that smooth 20-valve four-cylinder than most raiders will ever use, in a sure-footed chassis. It s like a rider s best ally, from track days, to commuting, to touring. Compact design, 998cc DOHC 20-valve engine is tuned for tremendous mid-range punch and massive top-end power. The Yamaha FZ1 received its last major upgrade back in 2006. Since then, the bike was slightly modified but the manufacturer has never gone too far and chose to make only small upgrades and generally kept the structure unchanged. Thereby, the Yamaha FZ1 remained a traditional sport bike which comes without the bells and whistles of it more upscale counterparts, but it rewards you a pure riding experience. The bike is propelled by a capable 998cc DOHC 20-valve engine which is especially tuned for adequate mid-range punch and generous top-end power. The engine features fuel injection with computer-controlled sub-throttle valves and a closed-deck cylinder. There is also a race-inspired curved radiator with twin ring-style fans to keep everything cool. As far as stopping power goes the bike features 320mm front discs squeezed by monoblock four-piston calipers up front and a single 245mm rear disc.

Results From Day 1 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Despite losing the World Supersport title last year to a hard-charging Sam Lowes, Mahi Racing Team India’s Kenan Sofuoglu, aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R, hasn’t lost any of the pace that has made him the overwhelming favorite heading into 2014. He topped the timesheets on the first day of testing at Phillip Island, setting a time of 1:33.521, putting him at near lap-record pace. Second on the day was Dutchman Michael van der Mark, aboard the Pata Honda CBR600RR.
Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?
Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
