2009 Yamaha Fz1 , Beautiful Bike, Only 5531 Miles. One owner, always garaged, well maintained by local shop. Never any mechanical problems. No moving accidents. Bought new in 2010, first week I owned the beast I stopped on a county highway to take it's picture and didn't remember the kickstand until it was a hair too late. That left 2 minor blemishes. Has several other very minor scuffs. Most miles on fair weather Iowa highways. Between 2k and 5K miles I had slightly stickier tires on the bike and hauled it to 2 track day weekends. The bike has way more capability than I do -- I was the slowest one on the track. So current tires are the originals with about 2.5 K on them. Only accessory added are the black tank grippers. 2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced
Thu, 30 May 2013Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort. However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips
Fri, 01 Mar 2013CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips. Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment. Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions. Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
