Yamaha FZ description
Up for sale is my nearly perfect FZ1. This is one of, if not THE most awesome bike I’ve ever owned. It is in
amazing condition, and is a perfect running and riding bike. I doubt a
2005 model gets much better than this. I wouldn't hesitate to ride this
one across country. The power is incredible, and I still can't believe
how comfortable it is. All the power and fun of a full-on sportbike, with the comfortable seating and position of a standard or sport-tourer. I'm in my 50s, and I could ride this all day. The aftermarket exhaust and K&N air filters make an already strong running bike an incredible running bike. And did I mention how amazing this exhaust
sounds???
This is practically a one owner bike; I've only had it a few months as
only the second owner. Extremely low miles, still have both keys and the
manual, and have a clear CA title in hand. Always garaged during my time with it, and never ridden in anything but sunshine by a mature, non-thrashing owner.
An absolutely beautiful, nearly perfect bike that literally runs better than new. I know I'm going to regret letting this one go, but unfortunately, it's time to downsize my collection of toys. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to own one of the most awesome, comfortable bikes on the market in nearly new condition at a fraction of the cost of a new one.
A few additions and mods to note:
Muzzy exhaust w/ ceramic-coated headers (these cost a fortune, but last forever)
K&N pod filters
Brand new front tire (less than 150 miles on it)
Nearly new rear tire (not sure how many miles on it, but both tires still have the little rubber "nibs" on them)
Sargent World Performance seat (has less than 100 miles on it)
Zero Gravity clear ST windscreen (also brand new - I also have a shorter smoked screen available if you'd prefer that instead)
Fender eliminator kit
Frame sliders
PROGRIP tank protector
Plug for battery tender under seat
12v outlet in right fairing panel
Grip Puppy hand grips (these can be slipped off the existing grips if that's not your cup of tea, but man are these comfortable!)
Just serviced and completely gone over at the Yamaha dealer
...and as an added incentive, I'm including the Yamaha factory cover (see pic)
Bike is located near Redlands, in the Inland Empire area of southern California.
(In the interest of full disclosure, there is a small scrape on the front edge of the front fender that it appears the previous owner touched up by hand - I've included a picture)
On Sep-23-13 at 14:06:37 PDT, seller added the following information:
***This is the third motorcycle I've listed on Ebay in the past few months (the previous two sold to happy buyers), and I've been active on Ebay for over a dozen years with a perfect 100% feedback score, so you can bid and buy with confidence.
Thanks for looking, and best of luck - bid high and bid often!

Batman’s Original Batcycle
Thu, 11 Dec 2008Oh, that Batman and his toys, those marvelous toys. Millionaire Bruce Wayne’s alter ego has always had a penchant for accessories. While normally reserved for freeing him and boy wonder from intellectually challenged villains, he has also had his fair share of tricked-out transportation over the years.
Yamaha Reports Q1 2012 Results
Mon, 14 May 2012Yamaha reported a 5.3% decrease in worldwide motorcycle sales over the first quarter of 2012 despite a 25% increase in North American sales. In the quarter ended March 31, 2012, Yamaha sold 1.599 million motorcycles worldwide, down from 1.689 million motorcycles sold over the same quarter in 2011. Most of the decline was due to Yamaha’s performance in the Asian market.
A crater looking for a grid reference?
Tue, 28 Sep 2010THIS IS the 'Black Devil' - the latest traffic jam-busting, kamikaze two-wheel nutcase who seems to have little respect for not only his own life but eveyone else on the road, too. The rider in question has filmed himself tearing up Moscow's roads in a suicidal fashion, diving between lines of traffic in a bid to impress viewers of his hi-speed antics aboard a Yamaha R1. If he keeps this kind of activity up expect a report on his untimely demise sometime in the near future.
