Yamaha FZ description

2005 Yamaha FZ1, Cycle World Magazine's "World's Best Streetbike" (Oct. 2004) - Everyday Comfort Coupled with Razor Sharp Handling and Open Class Power .Cycle World Magazine's "World's Best Streetbike" (Oct. 2004) For the rider who likes sport bike performance but prefers more comfortable ergonomics. The FZ1 offers a more traditional upright seating position, yet sacrifices nothing in terms of engine and handling performance. Sometimes it feels sinful to hide an engine like the R1 derived, 20-valve, Genesis powerplant behind bodywork ... hence the FZ1. Yamaha's “naked” bike, though, is fully decked out: Fully adjustable suspension at both ends, Four-piston monoblock calipers, Light, three-spoke aluminum wheels ,Wide, high-performance tires. The same semi-upright ergonomics that make dawn `til dusk rides not just possible but highly enjoyable also provide great leverage when the road turns twisty. In the end, you can come at it from either direction: practical transportation, or 140-horse sport bike. Both paths will bring you around, eventually, to the one bike that’s both, The FZ1. This 2005 Yamaha FZ1 with only 21,167 miles is one of the best used bikes out there. Super clean and damage free this bike looks, runs, rides and shifts super. No problems with this one at all. Call Ian with internet sales at 877-297-5985 to secure a deal today on this sweet ride.

Michael Alan Duff/Michelle Ann Duff

Spotted the link to this short film on a Dutch blog. It's beautifully shot/directed and captures GP rider Mike Duff's recovery from a horrific hip and pelvis injury suffered at the Japanese GP which cost him a six month stay in hospital. Watching him push-start makes you wince just imagining the pain he must have been in.

Tue, 09 Mar 2010

SEE THE MACHINE that could propel Britain to a new motorcycle land speed world record at The Race Retro 2010 show, held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from 12th to 14th March. Almost a year has passed since Visordown broke the news of the planned UK assault on the land speed record - this coming August the Angelic Bulldog team travels to Bonneville, where it is hoping to smash the 400mph barrier and bring the motorcycle Land Speed Record back to the UK for the first time since 1937. The current record stands at 360.913mph over a kilometre.
