Yamaha FZ description

2002 Yamaha FZ1, 2002 YAMAHA FZ1, FAST AND NIMBLE BIKE THAT LOOKS LIKE NEW AND HAS PLENTY OF POWER, COMES WITH MAGNETIC TANK BAG - Everyday Comfort Coupled with Razor Sharp Handling and Open Class Power. Derived from the legendary R1, the FZ1 packs a huge amount of horsepower (140+) and torque into a chassis that handles like a superbike yet is comfortable enough to ride all day long. For the rider who likes sportbike performance but prefers more comfortable ergonomics. The FZ1 offers a more traditional upright seating position, yet sacrifices nothing in terms of engine and handling performance.

MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.

An Island tour with a legend

What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.

Yamaha's Coming Out With a Race-Spec R1 In 2023

Tue, 06 Sep 2022

But there's a catch: It's only available in Europe. At least for now. In a move further supporting my argument that R1s are purpose-built racebikes with lights and mirrors to make them legal on the roads, for 2023 Yamaha is introducing the R1 GYTR – an R1 prepared specifically for track duty, without any of the homologation pieces for roadworthiness (don’t worry, the standard R1 isn’t going anywhere).
