Yamaha FZ description

1989 FZR 600.  I have owned the bike since 1990, cannot say "one owner" but is

mighty close.  I have all papers for oil changes, mechanical work, plus two shop

manuals.  Comes with track stand for adjustments to rear end.

Bike needs TLC to get back to operations as a motorcycle, not difficult work but

more time consuming than I can get to.  There is an electrical "gremlin" somewhere

in the wiring around the front handlebars, she needs someone better at trouble

shooting to find the intermittent short.

Could be transplanted into a fast four wheeler or go cart project, or you can get

her working again as a bike if you know vehicle electrics.  I can deliver within 100 miles of Rock Hill SC for an additional $50.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
