Fri, 04 Mar 2011DAINESE JERICO-R Being stuck up a mountain with your bike buried to the pegs in snow is not the best place to be a week before Christmas, especially when its 1200kms from home. Only owning perforated summer gloves is also far from ideal. This is the situation I found myself in and seeing as everything in Italy costs a million Euros, I wasn’t prepared to spend a fortune on a set of discontinued Oxford heated grips from the local motocross shop. A very pretty girl called Fanny at Chitrrai Yamaha, near Perugia, showed me the winter glove options.

Fri, 31 Dec 2010An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy. I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.
MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season
Tue, 18 Mar 2014MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.
