The under-cowl's adjustable panel has a new design for rider convenience and can be adjusted without tools.•The new adjustable wind screenimproves rider comfort, the adjustment speed is now twice as fast and the screen holds its position when the key is turned off.•The throttle body is redesigned, and the shape of the funnel and the shape and length of the exhaust pipe have been changed to use the new YCC-T system.•The new Yamaha D-Mode system offers riders a choice of T-Mode or S-Mode. T-Mode provides good performance characteristics needed for touring. The S-mode maximizes the performance characteristics for a sportier ride.•New cruise control adjusts speed via a single push to the switch or, for larger adjustments, by continuously pushing the switch. Application of the brakes, clutch or throttle automatically releases the cruise control function. There is also a "resume" function that returns the cruise control to the most recent setting.•New handlebar switches on both the right and left control heated-grip temperature, electronic wind screenadjustments, and the instrument panel display. Day 5 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins Stage, Moves Into Overall Lead
Thu, 09 Jan 2014Red Bull KTM factory rider and three-time Dakar winner Marc Coma won stage five today followed by his teammate Jordi Viladoms and KTM supported rider Kuba Przygonski allowing KTM to scoop the top three places. Today´s stage five from Chilecito to Tucuman was characterized by hot temperatures, lots of sand and navigation in dry vegetation. Organizers decided to cancel the second part of the special for safety reasons and also because heavy thunderstorms threatened the area.

Mon, 04 Nov 2013Yamaha teased us with the “Rise Up Your Darkness” campaign, first introducing the FZ-09 (called the MT-09 in Europe) and its three-cylinder engine packaged in a naked frame. Now Yamaha has introduced the next motorcycle in the Darkness collection, the MT-07, effectively the MT/FZ-09′s little brother. Designed to “bring fun, affordability and enjoyment back to the street,” the MT-07 is powered by a brand new, 689cc parallel-Twin with 270-degree crank incorporating Yamaha’s “crossplane philosophy” of developing linear torque for smoother power application.
CARB Fines Piaggio, Yamaha, Vance & Hines, Akrapovic for Emissions Violations
