The FJR's 145 horsepower, light aluminum frame, push-button adjustable windscreen, standard ABS, adjustable ergos and more, widen the gap between it and common sport tourers to a gaping chasm. This 2009 Yamaha FJR1300AE was only ridden a low 5838 miles. This Yamaha is a 9 out of a 10 hands down. Features include Yamaha's Chip Control Shifting (YCC-S) technology, a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission with electronically-controlled clutch. That's right, no clutch lever. You have the option of shifting via a conveniently located-handlebar switch or using the conventional foot shifter. Day 4 Dakar 2014: Juan Pedrero Wins Stage Aboard Sherco
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Stage 4 of the 2014 Dakar saw Juan Pedrero take his maiden victory aboard a Sherco SR 450 Rally. Although not in contention for the overall, Pedrero showed he has outgrown his previous role as Marc Coma’s lieutenant at KTM by bringing his Sherco across the finish line 3:10 faster than third place Coma and 29 seconds faster than second place finisher Francisco Lopez. Coma’s performance in today’s stage moved him to only 3:10 behind overall leader Joan Barreda.
Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010, according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.

Morning commuters in Barcelona got a little surprise yesterday from Yamaha and Jorge Lorenzo as the reigning MotoGP Champion and his crew re-created their usual race start ritual on a public street in front of the iconic Sagrada Familia. The roar of Lorenzo’s Yamaha YZR-M1 drew people’s attention as mechanics, data engineers and a lone Brolly Girl emerged.
