2006 Yamaha Fjr1300 , Up for sale is my 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300 that is in SHOWROOM CONDITION! I have been the owner for the last two years and have run 100% fully synthetic Mobile 1 motorcycle oil in it. The original owner who had the bike for about the first 16,000 miles was an aircraft mechanic who absolutely babied this motorcycle! Last year the Yamaha dealer performed a $1,000 service that included new platinum plugs, flush and fill of the cooling system, flush and fill of the brake lines, new Michelin Pilot Road 3 (tri-compound) tires, synchronization of the throttle bodies and complete check of all systems. There are 1 inch handlebar risers that have been installed and a Garmin GPS mount on the stem, I will even include the GPS for the winning bidder! Also included are Vance & Hines dual exhaust pipes that cost almost $800.00. If you would like to OEM exhaust that is included as well. The bike has dual anti lock brakes and is fuel injected, so no need to worry about adjusting carburetors! Included in the sale is an extra windshield from California Scientific for cooler months that blocks more of the air from the rider. Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
2014 Yamaha MT-09 Three-Cylinder Street Bike Announced for Europe – to be Named FZ-09 in US
Tue, 11 Jun 2013A couple of weeks ago, Yamaha Europe released a video called “Dark Side of Japan” teasing a new street bike it claimed would “change the sport motorcycle world.” Today, the company revealed its new model, introducing a new naked sportbike powered by a “Crossplane” three-cylinder engine called the MT-09. (EDIT: and we can now reveal that the North American version will be known as the Yamaha FZ-09.) The 2014 Yamaha MT-09 is powered by a new 847cc three-cylinder engine first teased at Intermot last year. According to Yamaha, the MT-09′s engine produces 113.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and 64.5 ft-lb.
Preliminary 2012 MotoGP Entry List Released
Fri, 13 Jan 2012The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 MotoGP World Championship. The provisional list includes 21 riders in the premiere class, including nine classified as Claiming Rule Team entries. Defending MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner will wear the #1 plate for the 2012 season, the first with both CRT entries and the new 1000cc engine displacement cap.
