Yamaha FJR description

2005 Yamaha FJR1300, We have not had the honor of having an FJR1300 here to offer in quite some time; people just seem to keep these bikes and that???s a testament to how big a smile they put on the owners faces year after year. This one is pretty young and was in pretty perfect shape when it arrived as a trade towards a BMW. It saw regular service locally and was up to date on most needs but there was a short list of need required to bring it up to the Bob???s standards before being offered for sale. This Dark Blue metallic paint is stunning and aside from a few very minor nicks and scratches it is almost as perfect cosmetically as it is mechanically. The FJR is a very competitive machine with 1298cc???s in an inline 4 cylinder design that???s fuel injected and liquid cooled. They weigh in at under 550 pounds and carry 6.5 gallons of fuel and run through the gears with a 5 speed gearbox and driveshaft. Disc brakes bring this beast with over 120 horsepower to a quick stop. Fully equipped with electrically adjustable windscreen paint matched saddlebags and trunk and very good ergonomics for any kind or length of riding it???s no wonder these machines are so popular. This one had only a few needs when it came in and we???ve addressed them all. We installed a new rear tire but the front is in great shape and was manufactured in 12/11 so it???s plenty fresh, we also put Nitrogen in both. It needed a few fresh screws in the windscreen so that was handled easily and we went high dollar and installed a brand new $722 rear Yamaha shock as the original was leaking slightly. Of course it???s been run through and passed the Maryland State Inspection and also had an extended test ride to insure it???s both safe and roadworthy in addition to being fun and comfortable which might be a little more subjective. Just shortly before it was traded it got a new battery and the oil and filter was changed by the prior owner. As it came in without the owner???s manual (how do people always lose there?) we ordered in one and along with the factory tool set it is supplied with 3 keys. Look it over, compare to others you might find and we think you???ll agree this is the best example out there and at a very competitive price with no needs except an extra day or two off from your job so you can start enjoying it right away!

2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 First Ride

Wed, 13 Dec 2023

Small updates keep the T7 fresh, but we're still missing out on the European variants Photos by Yamaha/Joseph Agustin Photo Yamaha’s popular Ténéré 700 “T7” adventure bike returns for 2024, and while it would be easy to say it is “largely unchanged” from the 2023 model, there have been some notable changes made in response to feedback from many North American riders. One wish still unrealized: the U.S. dealers won’t be getting the up-spec World Raid and numerous other versions of the T7 the EU enjoys - at least not this year.

Lorenzo And Rossi Unveil Yamaha MotoGP 2014 Livery

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Yamaha’s official MotoGP outfit unveiled the team’s official 2014 livery in front of a packed audience in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team’s two factory riders, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, were on hand to proudly showcase their YZF-M1 motorcycles. As expected, blue, Yamaha’s factory color, plays a major role in the color scheme, but unlike last year where it was the dominant color, it is equally offset by contrasting white swaths on the upper fairing, fuel tank, and throughout the lower fairing.

Minor updates announced for Europe Yamaha Motor Europe announced updates to the Ténéré 700, giving the middleweight ADV bike a TFT display, smartphone connectivity, a new ABS mode and other small updates. As of this writing, the 2023 Ténéré 700 has not been announced for the U.S., though we expect to receive official news soon. The Ténéré 700 Rally Edition variant offered in Europe (pictured below with the Heritage White livery) also received the same updates, but we don’t expect that it will be offered on these shores.
