All original, complete bike. Except new chain, battery, fuel filter. Fuel tank cleaned no rust inside ,outside tank has minor scuffs and one small ding in front of Yamaha emblem on right side, hardly noticeable. Starts on 1 or 2 kicks, runs and shifts as it should. seat has no rips or tears. everything works except headlight probably just needs new bulb. All fluids drained and replaced. Tires hold air but will need to be replaced due to cracks in sidewalls. original tool kit. No title bill of sale only. 47 year old bike and show surface rust and wear, was in storage since 2002. Still bike looks and runs great for its age. will not ship, pick up only. I will assist loading on truck. $100.00 non refundable deposit due by paypal within 24 hours of purchase, remainder to be paid in cash upon pick up. Please ask any questins before bidding. First completed in 1916, this year marks the 87th running of the “Race to the Clouds.” If the math doesn’t add up, this is because there were several years that the event did not run over the course of its 93 year history. The 12.4 mile trek up the mountain consists of 156 treacherous turns to an elevation of 14,110 feet.
Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
