1971 Yamaha CS3 twin. This bike starts and rides, looks good, and pulls hard. Includes service manual. This is a rare vintage bike which has been restored with a slick cafe look. Good: The following parts have been replaced with NOS parts (from here): -Tires -Brake shoes -All cables (clutch, throttle, brake, speedo, tach) -All badges. 5 Speed shifts and hits all gears up and down just fine Clutch plates are in great shape, I left them alone (a NOS spare set are included) All lights work Auto Lube system works great. No rust and chrome looks great. The bike obviously was repainted at one time. Bad: Missing right rear turn signal lens There are a couple small dents on the gas tank May need a new front chain sprocket (at low speed the chain goes through a tight spot) Float valves likely need to be replaced or cleaned. (if left sitting with the petcock on sometimes the carbs leak some fuel) Delivery in the Philadelphia area $1/mile. Can arrange shipping to anywhere at buyers cost. Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up
Tue, 07 Jan 2014Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
