1978 Yamaha XS 650 custom hard tail. TC Brothers hard tail, powder coated frame, XS Charge permanent magnet alternator kit, high output digital ignition, air ride solo seat, powder coated wheels with new spokes, re gasketed engine, powell peralta "Bones" skateboard wheel chain tensioner, battery eliminator capacitor, pinstriped peanut tank and golan petcock, new rear tire, TC Brothers forward controls, heat wrapped scrambler exhaust, mild apes, New old inventory carburetors, kick start only. Runs like it should, ready for summer. This will be the second summer for this build. Cash and carry preferred, Pay-pal accepted for deposit, balance can be paid via credit card or Pay-Pal for an additional 2%. Here we have new photographs of Yamaha’s “SUV motorcycle” from the show floor of the Tokyo Motor Show courtesy of Colum Wood, editor of our sister site Autoguide.com, who was in attendance. Yamaha describes the XTW250 RYOKU concept as an “unrestricted, anytime, anywhere” mobility vehicle offering performance, operability the capacity to carry heavy loads.
45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
