Yamaha AT1 description

For your consideration... Restored 1969 Yamaha AT1 AT1M 125 AHRMA Motocross legal 125 Racer. Very, very nice California build in my collection for years. I've only improved it since with many rare desirable parts and paint. It is completely refreshed and never ridden. Built as a period racer and meant to be ridden... used as a showpiece for myself, it is essentially new and ready to be fired or further enjoyed as garage art. Quite a conversation piece ! Engine has been entirely rebuilt with reconditioned crank, new bearings, seals and gaskets. Fat blue spark... It is fresh and ready to light off. The transmission is a complete NOS close ratio MX 5 speed. Rare and pricey. Engine cases appear NOS as well without #'s. The top end, head, piston, barrel and carb are all factory GYT Kit parts. The expansion chamber being GYT kit as well in nice shape. The frame, swingarm, footpegs and chassis parts have all been powdercoated. Period correct Webco fork brace, Webco pegs and Yamaha Accessory Filtron air cleaner. New aftermarket seat cover and pricey NOS correct green strap. Flanged alloy wheels with new Buchanan stainless spokes. New Maxxis tires and tubes. The handlebars are new as are NOS grey cables, grips, gas cap, kill switch, levers, chain and sprocket. The beautiful tank was recently redone by the talented Brian Fedigan / MX Restoration as has new reproduction badges. Clean original shocks, New seals in the 21" forks, new rubber grommets throughout with new hardware. Reproduction number plates, brackets and high mount fender. Not my intention to ride or run engine, this bike has been stored properly, displayed throughout my home, turned over frequently, stared at often and detailed for show. Your choice to recommission with minimal further attention start up effort ie, pre-mix race high test, oil, tune to race, ride or entertain eyes. You can not begin to build this bike for reasonable opening bid no reserve price... In fact I have 4500.00 in this bike ! Bill of sale no title. Prompt Paypal deposit of $500.00 is DUE at auction END ! Balance due within five days by way of Bank check, transfer or cash in person upon pick up. Possible delivery to Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio for reasonable trailer slot fee only with prompt communication pronto. Limited space and approaching fast... I'll need to know shipping and payment intentions please. Pick up and shipping is buyers responsibility from beautiful Traverse City, MI within three weeks and prior payment in full per terms. For sale other venues... I reserve the right to cancel pending such sale. This will not last long at Mid-Ohio Vintage Days if it goes with me ! Brett 313.590.8599 cell/text. Thank you and Good Luck...

Yamaha Star Bolt Café Photos from Tokyo Motor Show

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We received some positive feedback on our Google+ page when we first wrote about Yamaha‘s Star Bolt Café prototype, so we thought we’d share some new photos Yamaha released from the Tokyo Motor Show. Yamaha has made it clear the Bolt Café is only a reference model to showcase the customization potential of the Bolt. At its heart remains the Bolt’s 942cc V-Twin engine and double-cradle frame.

Day 5 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins Stage, Moves Into Overall Lead

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

Red Bull KTM factory rider and three-time Dakar winner Marc Coma won stage five today followed by his teammate Jordi Viladoms and KTM supported rider Kuba Przygonski allowing KTM to scoop the top three places. Today´s stage five from Chilecito to Tucuman was characterized by hot temperatures, lots of sand and navigation in dry vegetation. Organizers decided to cancel the second part of the special for safety reasons and also because heavy thunderstorms threatened the area.

2014 MotoGP Qatar in Pictures

Mon, 24 Mar 2014

The opening round of the 2014 MotoGP season is complete, and if the Grand Prix of Qatar is any indication, it looks like it’ll be an interesting season. If you haven’t yet, read up on the recap for the Qatar MotoGP race for the details on what transpired at Losail International Circuit in Doha. Here then are some of the (mostly spoiler-free) photographs from the Grand Prix of Qatar, including images from the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 classes.
