Production-made Telmar leather books of Caspian's teacher Doctor Cornelius (Vincent Grass) prop lot from the trilogy of films based on the magical world created and chronicled by C.S. Lewis. Created and used in the big screen adaptations of these beloved novels that chronicle the journey of Lucy, Susan, Edmund, Peter Pevensie and later their cousin Eustace Scrubb in the mythical Narnian land. Acquired from Walden Overstock, lot includes: (2) Ancients books of the teacher, Ornate elaborate leather covered faux prop books, studio-distressed to appear aged. One measures approximately 25 x 16 in., the second measures approximately 16 x 15 in., items exhibit signs of production-use & studio-distressing. Record Breaking Vincent Black Shadow Is Top Seller At Bonhams Auction
Mon, 29 Apr 2013A fully restored, ex-works 1952 Vincent Black Shadow was the top selling motorcycle at the Bonhams auction, held at the International Classic Motorcycle Show at the Staffordshire County Showground on Sunday, April 28, selling for £113,500 (US $176,341 after premiums). This Black Shadow was part of the factory’s bid to set a new 24-hour speed record at Montlhéry in France in May 1952. Mechanical troubles prevented that from happening, but the team still came away with eight records, including six hours at over 100 mph.
Lee Rocker To Play Free Concert At AIMExpo
Thu, 09 Oct 2014Lee Rocker, of 1980′s Stray Cats fame, and still considered one of the most influential upright bass players in rock n’ roll history, will perform a free concert at the AIMExpo Saturday Night, October 18 outside of the AIMExpo show floor at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Rocker and the band take the stage at 7 p.m. to deliver a rockabilly performance. All AIMExpo attendees with either an admission ticket or a show badge are welcome to attend the intimate performance. Rocker’s performance is sponsored by the Ace Cafe Orlando, Bell Helmets, Kawasaki, Metzeler, AIMExpo, and MOTOTV. 2012 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class Nominees Announced
Tue, 03 Apr 2012The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation released its list of nominees for the AMA Hall of Fame Museum induction class of 2012. The 26 nominees represents a wide range of contributions to motorcycling, from motocross champions and Daytona 200 winners to tuners to motorcycle rights advocates. The selection committee will further trim the list down to six individuals, three from competition categories and three from non-competition categories.
