Vincent All description

BT-H  magneto Pick-up  to fit BT-H part number SKC87159G1, used  on BTH KC2 magnetos & possibly others.

These pick-ups are molded by an established British manufacturer from high quality material ( better than NOS BTH ) selected to provide the required dielectric strength, cold and hot.  By comparison, many other slip rings and pick-ups on the market are badly molded from sub-standard materials which breaks down electrically, even when new, at the temperatures to which these components are exposed.

These pick-ups are warranted for two years from purchase against defects in manufacture . This does not include damage caused by misuse or abuse. If there is a failure, let us know first, then send us the old one, and we'll send you a FREE replacement.

The brush holes in these pick-ups are brass lines to ensure that the brush can slide easily in the pick-up, and that good electrical contact is made with the brush and spring.

5 mm brush , acorn nut, and brass split washers are available separately.

These are the pick-ups that we use ourselves in our magneto servicing and repair work.

Please see our other listings for other Lucas and BTH magneto parts & services, including the now internationally famous EasyCap™ magneto condensers.

We are happy to give multi order discounts

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

1 of 11Next Last   Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll. Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.

Video: 180bhp N2O injected Vincent

The Greek God Epithemeus - the name of this three-wheeled, 180bhp Vincent record breaker - was the brother of Prometheus. Epithemeus (meaning afterthought) was the creator of many dangerous, ill thought-out beasts. Unlike his dilligent brother, Epithemeus was a bit of a f**kwit who threw everything at his powerful new animal creations with little thought of the consequences. A perfect name, then.
