This is the vintage racing nickel-plated brass, spigot mount - AMAL TT10 smooth-bore RN Carburetor with variable degree Brass float bowl. These are the predecessor to the GP Carb. - with remote Needle to left of mixing chamber. 1 1/8in. venturi/inlet size. For many performance and competition applications. This carburetter is in good condition inc. good nickle plating and, is complete (no choke fitted). Suitable for Vincent competition applications; BSA pre-unit Goldstar singles, very suitable for big Matchless singles - G50, G85, G80TCS, AJS 7R, Norton International, Manx, Velocette and many racing and competition applications. Condition is good - slide is a good fit in mixing chamber bore, all internals are in very good condition; all threads are good and jets, needles - all good. Within the sale, an intriguing duo of Brough Superiors will be offered for auction from a family synonymous with motorcycles for generations – Myerscough. The motoring history behind the Myerscough family began in 1893 when Leonard Myerscough opened a business repairing and selling bicycles, followed by motorcycles and automobiles. At the peak of this business, five locations serviced the Liverpool area under the banner L Myerscough & Sons Ltd. Encouraged by his father, the eldest son, Len Jr, took up dirt track racing in the late 1920s, enjoying success as a contracted team rider for both the Belle Vue Aces and Preston teams from 1928 to 1931.
2013 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance World Championship Results
Mon, 29 Jul 2013The Musashi HARC-Pro Honda team of Leon Haslam, Michael van der Mark and Takumi Takahashi captured the 2013 Suzuka 8 Hours race. The Musashi team was joined on the podium by the Yoshimura Suzuki team of Takuya Tsuda, Nobuatsu Aoki and Josh Brookes and the Kagayama Suzuki team of Yukio Kagayama, Noriyuki Haga and Kevin Schwantz. The Musashi team completed 214 laps to win the endurance race.
