3 PIECE PEWTER THIMBLE SET EASTER BUNNY & BASKET 1989
E. VINCENT GALLO


Up for auction is a three piece collectible thimble set. This is a pewter set - an Easter Bunny and basket and a tray they sit on. The tray is marked EASTER 1989, each piece is marked E. VINCENT 1988 GALLO.  It measures about 1 5/8" tall x 2 3/8" x 1 14". They are in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. I just purchased a collection of thimbles, keep watching, if you win multiplies, please wait for an invoice, I will ship one or all for the same shipping cost.

 

I find most of my auction items at estate sales and yard sales. There may be some smoke or pet or musty odors, I will make a note of any odors in the description. I try to clean things as much as possible, if something needs extra attention, I will let you know. Some items I will not clean if I don't know the proper cleaning method.

2012 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class Nominees Announced

The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation released its list of nominees for the AMA Hall of Fame Museum induction class of 2012. The 26 nominees represents a wide range of contributions to motorcycling, from motocross champions and Daytona 200 winners to tuners to motorcycle rights advocates. The selection committee will further trim the list down to six individuals, three from competition categories and three from non-competition categories.

Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Rakes In $1.8 Million

  A collection of classic motorcycles including some owned by the Du Pont family was auctioned by Bonhams in Las Vegas, with sales reaching $1.8 million, nearly double the pre-auction estimates. The auction included 50 motorcycles and 113 lots of spare parts from the Du Pont family including some from the personal collection of E. Paul du Pont, founder of Du Pont Motors and one-time president of Indian Motorcycles.

The upcoming Bonhams Banbury Run Sale is set to be a motorcycle enthusiast’s dream, with 102 lots of iconic bikes available to the highest bidder. Within the sale, an intriguing duo of Brough Superiors will be offered for auction from a family synonymous with motorcycles for generations – Myerscough. The motoring history behind the Myerscough family began in 1893 when Leonard Myerscough opened a business repairing and selling bicycles, followed by motorcycles and automobiles. At the peak of this business, five locations serviced the Liverpool area under the banner L Myerscough & Sons Ltd. Encouraged by his father, the eldest son, Len Jr, took up dirt track racing in the late 1920s, enjoying success as a contracted team rider for both the Belle Vue Aces and Preston teams from 1928 to 1931.
