Vincent All description

This is a P & H 6 Volt Horn from a 1920's era motorcycle.

Horn works well when touched to a 6 volt battery.

Vintage P&H Motorcycle horns are very rare in Electric versions.

P & H electrics were used on better quality motorcycles in the 20's like Matchless, Sunbeam, A.J.S. Twins, Coventry Eagle Brough Superior Invincible JAP, etc.

Horn is in good, original un-restored condition, as you can see in the pics.

Only thing I can see is that there is a part missing out of the cast body housing, a tiny indentation on the horn trumpet, & a rub hole in the tin cover over the back; but all fairly straight forward & easy repairs; but don't effect the horn from working. see the pictures & see what you think.

Horn has "6VB" on the side of it. maybe the model it is?

The horn trumpet on the open end is 80mm diameter.
Horn trumpet is 55mm long from the open end, to right where it bolts onto the horn body.
The flange where the horn trumpet bolts to the horn body is 110mm diameter.
Horn body is 60mm long from the back end of the body, to the flange where the trumpet bolts on.

See the pics & see what you think.

In a world where modern motorcycles are full of computers, sensors and plastic, there are still those folks who yearn for the days of yore. Careful and skilled craftsmanship, along with independent thinking, is a mark of pride among these men and their machines, some of whom are featured in the video below by Gestalten.tv.
