Vincent All description

As shown in scan, MNH

Unless specifically indicated as "Mint Never Hinged" or MNH, most material I offer issued prior to 1960 will show some evidence of hinging as this was the mounting practice for most collectors. In many cases, a single stamp may have gone through the hands of more than one collector and will have hinge marks on the gum side, hinge remnants attached or hinge thins and gum loss resulting from hinge removal. Occasionally, prior owner's marks may also be present on the reverse side of a stamp.

A stamp described as "MH" will be an unused example that shows evidence of hinging as described above but still retains all or most of its original gum. An unused stamp without gum may be described as "Unused, NG," or simply "Unused." Buyers should assume that a stamp described as "Used" will always be without gum and previously hinged, unless otherwise indicated.

I regret that I cannot provide scans of the reverse (gum side) of every lot offered as this activity is both time-consuming and cost-prohibitive. However, I will be happy to provide such scans to potential buyers concerned with gum condition, provided they direct their request to me via eBay's mail system.

I normally ship items the date payment is received or within 24 hours thereafter (weekends excluded). However, please bear in mind that once an item enters the mail stream, I cannot control how fast it will be delivered.

If you purchase an item and pay for it immediately but intend to bid on other items that have not closed, please advise so that any additional wins can be packaged along with your initial item in order to save mailing costs.

Combined Shipping Costs:

On multiple purchases, the following postage fee information should be a rule of thumb for bidders:

United States: $.49 total—Any number of items purchased within a 5 day cycle to be shipped to an address in the U.S, in a single mailing.

International: $1.20 total—Any number of items purchased within a 5 day cycle to be shipped outside of the U.S. in a single mailing.

Multiple item purchases are charged shipping cost only once for the order. Buy as many items as you wish and pay combined shipping cost for entire order. Above shipping is for USPS First Class Domestic or First Class International mail service only.

Additional services such as registration, global express or priority mail, etc. are available only at the buyer's request.

Record Breaking Vincent Black Shadow Is Top Seller At Bonhams Auction

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

A fully restored, ex-works 1952 Vincent Black Shadow was the top selling motorcycle at the Bonhams auction, held at the International Classic Motorcycle Show at the Staffordshire County Showground on Sunday, April 28, selling for £113,500 (US $176,341 after premiums). This Black Shadow was part of the factory’s bid to set a new 24-hour speed record at Montlhéry in France in May 1952. Mechanical troubles prevented that from happening, but the team still came away with eight records, including six hours at over 100 mph.

1 of 11Next Last   Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll. Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.
