1968 Triumph Trophy 650 fresh from the barn showing 9024 miles. I acquired it four years ago from the second owner who had it properly stored away for 25 years. Photos tell the story. Basically original except for headlight bucket, exhaust system and seat trim. Original paint, straight original tins and six-pack rack on the tank. Straight frame, wheels and handlebars. 1972 Trimph TR6C (1972)
Up for auction is a numbers matching 1972 Triumph TR6C in great condition. This Texas bike had been stored inside for over 20 years when I purchased it 2 years ago. I purchased the bike to restore and show at local car / bike shows but now I need the space in the garage for another project. The TR6C's were built for the American market and some were used as desert racers in California. They were called Desert Sleds.. They differ from the regular TR6's with upswept pipes with a heat shield and a skid plate. Only 1,040 TR6C models were built in 1972 and complete and original bikes are hard to find. This machine is very original although it has been repainted with the stock color and stripes. Also has a new front wheel, two new Dunlop K70 tires, new shocks and fork gaiters. The motorcycle is equipped with a liquid-cooled V-twin, powered by two 67-mm “chokes”, which are supplied with air through an air intake located in a false tank. The fuel tank is located under the engine.

Harley-Davidson FXS/FLS models now have stylish Predator Seats available for their bike. The solar-reflective leather on the seat surface is claimed to reduce the surface temperature of a sun-baked seat by “as much as 25 degrees.” The sides are constructed of automotive-grade vinyl.
