The transmission s helical-cut gears ensure that each shift is smooth and clean. DUAL ZONE HEATED SEATS & HANDGRIPS Extend the riding season with the heated handgrips and heated seats. The driver has Hi & Lo settings on the hand controls to ward off the chill, and the seats provide the driver and passenger with individual Hi/Lo controls. Add a month or more on both ends of the riding season with the flip of a switch. GALLONS OF TRUNK & SADDLEBAG SPACE Integrated in the smooth-flowing Victory Vision Tour bodywork are convenient side storage compartments and a spacious trunk. Tue, 07 Jan 2014Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
All 50 States Ranked For Highest Motorcycle Ownership Per Capita
Tue, 18 Feb 2014In a recent study done ranking each of the 50 states (and the District of Columbia) by motorcycle ownership per capita, South Dakota ranked the best. There are a total of 69,284 motorcycles registered in the state, according to the Department of Transportation, and with a total population of 816,598, when you do the math, there’s roughly 12 people in South Dakota for every motorcycle. Considering South Dakota is the home of the Sturgis rally, its ranking on this list may not be much of a surprise.
