Earlier today, John McGuinness earned his 21st Isle of Man TT victory, claiming the top step in the TT Zero electric motorcycle race aboard the Mugen Shinden San. His single-lap race time of 19:17.300 means he averaged an astonishing 117.366 mph, destroying the existing lap record of 109.675 mph set last year by Michael Rutter aboard the MotoCzysz. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, the Michael Czysz could not field a team this year. Expansion Forces Polaris Industries to Cancel 2014 American Victory Rally

Growth is a good thing, but sometimes it comes at a cost. This year, unfortunately, Polaris has realized that its American Victory Rally will not be able to take place at the company’s Spirit Lake, Iowa facility because of “extensive transformation of manufacturing lines.” “All of us at Victory are disappointed that we are unable to host the rally this year as we know our riders are passionate about their bikes and the opportunity to connect with each other, the Spirit Lake community and Victory employees at the annual rally,” said Marcy Bosch, committee chair, American Victory Rally. “We will be transforming our manufacturing lines this summer to keep up with the demands fueled by the continued enthusiasm for Victory bikes and our other products, which means we won’t be able to free up the facilities and dedicate the resources necessary to support a quality rally.

Klock Werks Custom Victory Kingpin Raffle for Organ Donor Awareness – Video

South Dakota-based Klock Werks Kustom Cycles is raffling a custom Victory motorcycle to benefit the family of a late employee and raise awareness for organ donation. Klock Werks created the one-off custom, based on a 2010 Victory Kingpin, to honor the life of Vic Bragg, an employee and tattoo artist who died in a car accident in 2011 at the age of 29. The tribute custom, dubbed “Tattooed for Life” was presented at the New York stop of the 2012 International Motorcycle Shows tour in January.
