Triumph Trophy description
My apologies to previous listing watchers, had to relist in another category. Please read entire listing, particularly important title info. below.
1969 Triumph T100C Trophy. Matching #"s 500cc twin. Nice little bobber/custom with authentic period details. Bates headlight, fork shrouds, drag bars, and chromed engine case covers, rocker covers, swing arm, and rear brake. Correct T100C narrow tank with matt cleared steel/primer finish, no dents/rust. Faded out vintage graphics with custom rubber British insignia knee grips. One off leather and brass riveted solo seat. Chrome is tired, showing wear and pitting (along with paint) but fits the vintage look of this bike. Rough and ready. Mechanically very good, starts and runs. Both cylinders show 125 psi compression cold (see photo), looks to have been rebuilt at one time. Oil tank cleaned out and repainted. Shifts through all gears without problems. Tracks well. TT pipes with very short baffles. Never checked brakes but marginally adequate. Swing arm pivot solid. Forks could use new seals, have them. Nice Metzeler tires but older, rear shows slight cracks probably from sitting flat for years. I have completely rewired with Tympanium solid state regulator, PVL coils, Lucas RITA electronic ignition, small 12V battery. All lights work. Will need rear bottom push rod tube seal replaced for slight oil leak, no other major oil leaks. Short geared scrambler model, great for around town, not so much for highway without a sprocket change. Clymer service manual included. Desirable high pipe model for original restoration, great display item, cafe project, or run as is with minor work for inspection. IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: This motorcycle comes with bill of sale ONLY. Bill of sale ONLY. Ebay requires something in title category. Was bought out of Connecticut where titles are not required for 20 years and older. Have my original bill of sale from seller, but no previous Conn. registration. Connecticut DMV had no record of recent registration (it's a 47 year old bike that has been sitting most of it's life). Can register through Vermont with an out of state address, costs around $200, see online, or perhaps your state is more lenient than PA regarding old motorcycles. If you have a problem with any of this do not bid. Can deliver on pallet to local freight hub, buyer to arrange all shipping. Possible delivery to AMA Vintage Days at MidOhio, contact me before auction closes. First time bidders contact me before auction closes. Bike is described honestly to the best of my abilities, but sold as is. Will answer any questions, one of several vintage bikes I own. Inspection available.

South West Motorcycle Show 2010, August 28th & 29th
Tue, 17 Aug 2010Need something to do on August Bank Holiday weekend, then read below: "Although the South West Motorcycle Show has been running at the Westpoint Arena for the last sixteen years, 2010 is the first year that the show hosts the all-new Vertical Trix European Stunt Championship. The show contains all the usual attractions that have been delivered to motorcyclists from over the south-west and further afield since 1994 – including all the appropriate trade stands, and with strong support from local dealers – plus attractions such a a dyno on site, restaurant, bar, bike displays, live music and of course the live action arena. Although the action in the show arena has previously been stunt displays, rather than a full-on competition.
Church of MO: 2012 Triumph Scrambler Review
Sun, 13 Nov 2022Now it’s the Triumph Street Scrambler, but 10 years ago it was the Triumph only Scrambler, and it was time to open fire with the Steve McQueen marketing machine. Seems to have worked, really, and Triumph has seen fit since then to update the base Scrambler with a bigger new liquid-cooled Twin that still looks vintage. And its pair of bigger Scrambler 1200s, XE and XC, are truly sublime motorcycles we’d ride anywhere.
