Triumph Trident description

1975 Triumph Trident T160. Detailed restoration by Dale Keesecker (of Vincent fame) Matching numbers. Clear Kansas title.

Everything is done to NOS standards. Frame off restoration, with the engine and gearbox completely done. Careful attention to Originality.

Still needs to be broken-in.

Probably a 97 point bike. The only outstanding issue pictured is the rear sprocket, which is new, but after market. An NOS sprocket was finally found and will be included with the bike.

Bike is located in Oklahoma city, and can be viewed there with an appointment.

The T160 was the last of the Tridents and the most improved with only 7,211 built.
The main features of the T160 from the earlier versions were:

• Electric start
• Five-speed gearbox
• Disc brakes front and rear
• Left-hand gear-change
• Forward leaning cylinder layout allowing a larger air box
• Improved center-of-gravity (frame/engine position, sloping cylinders, tank/seat unit)
• Revised muffler to meet US standards
• Redesigned instrument mount and handlebar switchgear
• Updated to more traditional Triumph styling

2013 Triumph Tiger Sport Announced

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

Triumph revealed a new version of its 1050cc Tiger named the Tiger Sport. Triumph currently lists this new Tiger Sport beside its Tiger 1050 on the Triumph website’s 2013 offerings but the new model appears to be a replacement for the previous model which has been relatively unchanged since its introduction in 2007. Officially unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show, the 2013 Triumph Tiger Sport receives new body panels, tail and windscreen but perhaps the most notable design change is the new single-sided swingarm which better shows off the black cast aluminum alloy multi-spoke rear wheel.
