Triumph Trident description

1975 Triumph Trident T150V for sale. Titled as a 1975. Numbers match, of course. Has Viking 3 into 1 exhaust ($1200 retail cost), fender tax plate and gas tank parcel grid that is held on by suction cups, so no damage to the tank.  Everything is original except for balance tubes for carbs on the inlet  gantry. Have original exhaust, handlebars and another stock front fender, if you want it to be stock looking, that are  included. Also included is a pretty perfect T150 tank with petcocks and a pair of reproduction side covers. The prior owner had it bored out .020 over at Head and Hole and installed new piston and rings about 5 years ago. Starts easy with one or two kicks and has original points. Fork gaiters have been added. It does need to have the pushrod seals replaced inasmuch as they are slightly leaking.

Church of MO: 2002 Triumph Speed Triple

Sun, 09 Jan 2022

Still no score and twenty years ago, yours truly came to work at MO for the first time (where I apparently found it my duty to insert a lot of parentheticals signed Ed). I think the 2002 Triumph Speed Triple was one of the first bikes we reviewed upon my arrival. That’s me resting on the couch after performing the horn mono for Minime’s Kodak Brownie, which took a lot out of me.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.

Mac Motorcycles

Thu, 28 May 2009

British motorcycle design studio Xenophya Design and product designer Ellis Pitt have teamed up to produce a new company, Mac Motorcycles. Based out of Upton-Upon-Severn in Worcestershire, England, Mac Motorcycles will produce a line of bikes powered by Buell’s air-cooled single cylinder 492cc engines used in the Blast, with a tubular backbone frame. On the company’s website, Pitt describes its bikes as being simple to maintain, include references and details from choppers and bobbers and feature “Harley posture, flat-track manners, Ducati handling”.
