PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO STUDY THEM ALL BEFORE BIDDING. Rare 1970 Triumph "Trident" with matching serial numbers. Titled as a 1970 Triumph and featuring the "North American Beauty Kit". This 750cc triple cylinder "T150" is in amazing condition. This was a nice original bike that got a mild custom restoration done to it a few years ago. No expense was spared. The previous owner had the sheetmetal professionally painted a beautiful "candy apple" blue and white instead of the correct "Spring Gold" and black. The paint really "pops" in the sun and compliments the bike very well. The bike starts, runs, and rides great with no issues. 1970 had the lowest production numbers of any year Trident. Only 287 T150's were produced in 1970, making them quite rare. Some consider this to be the best year for the Trident as well. It was the first year to be fitted with the "Beauty Kit" which consisted of a classic "Bonneville style" gas tank, slim side covers, and standard mufflers. It was also the last year to use the beautiful looking (and great working) "Twin Leading Shoe" front brake, therefore making this the most desirable year to own. This bike was treated to a rebuilt top end at the time of restoration. It also received a full maintenance, new gaskets / seals, clutch, "Boyer" electronic ignition (major improvement), and a new (very expensive) correct exhaust. The seat is a new reproduction unit as well. It also was treated to new "Akront / Morad" high-shouldered aluminum rims and stainless spokes. The wheels really look great and set this bike apart from the rest. New correct Dunlop "K81" tires were also installed. Since this was a nice original maintained bike to start with, some items were not restored. The paint on the front frame section is original and in very good condition. It even still has it's original "compliance sticker" in place on the right side of the steering neck. However, the rear frame section, engine mounting plates, footpegs, swingarm, chainguard, hubs, lower fork legs, headlight ears, etc, etc have all been professionally repainted black and look great. The gas tank has no dents and is clean inside (never coated). The front fender does have a chip in the paint (see photos). The gauges are original, very nice, and work as they should. This bike also has it's original cloth covered wiring harness and dual horns. Like most older Triumph's, it does "mark it's spot" with a few oil drips but does not have any major oil leaks. It starts first kick, sounds great, does not smoke, and is a blast to ride. The clutch also works great, it does not drag or slip. The only things not correct on the bike are the aftermarket aluminum rims, and paint scheme. Easily changed if desired but I personally prefer the looks as-is. A very classy looking Trident indeed. The bike comes with a clear Michigan title. It is ready to ride right now or be put on display in your personal museum. I also know of an excellent motorcycle shipper that is very reasonable. Email me for his phone number or any questions you may have.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
