Equipped with traction control, switchable ABS, 3 Rider Modes, and a second generation 95PS 800cc triple engine with a seamless flow of torque, the Tiger 800 XCA goes further still. Standard equipment includes heated rider and passenger seats, heated grips, LED fog lamps, and an uprated 650W alternator complete with 3 auxiliary sockets that can power everything you need from heated clothing to GPS systems. It also features aluminium pannier rails making it ready to tour with the optional Expedition luggage set. The finely honed handling and ride are everything you would expect from a Triumph. The suspension features 43mm WP USD forks that have 220mm of front wheel travel and come with adjustable rebound and compression damping. The WP monoshock is adjustable for both preload and rebound and comes with a remote reservoir and delivers 215mm of wheel travel. This stellar example of Triumph's highest spec adventure 800 motorcycle is finished in Matte Khaki (green) and is just as it was off the showroom floor. Intermot 2012: 2013 Triumph Street Triple, Street Triple R Revealed
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Triumph has redesigned its Street Triple for 2013, revealing the updated 675cc naked bikes at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. 2013 Triumph Street Triple and the slightly more up-spec Street Triple R receive an all-new chassis featuring aluminum beam twin-spar frames and two-piece die-cast rear subframes. According to Triumph, the new chassis optimizes agility and handling with fewer welds than the previous frame and helping reduce the overall wet weight by 13 pounds to 403 pounds.

Fri, 03 Aug 2012So yesterday I was threading my way through London on Triumph's Tiger Explorer 1200 with panniers. Quite a wide load. Up ahead, I see a police biker and reckon on him being able to part the traffic enough for me to have an easier run down by the river.
Triumph Street Triple Used to Test Rocket Components – Video
Fri, 04 May 2012California-based aerospace company XCOR is using a Triumph Street Triple to test rocket components for a suborbital spacecraft. Of course, what immediately comes to mind is a giant rocket strapped on to the Triumph, but the truth is much less dramatic, yet still fascinating. XCOR is using the Street Triple for endurance testing of bearings components for the rocket propellant piston pump of the Lynx suborbital spacecraft.
