Let the adventure begin. Built to take the worst you can throw at it, the Tiger 800 XC has been fully equipped to handle autobahns and green lanes with equal aplomb. The 800cc three-cylinder engine sets new standards in the adventure bike class, smoothly delivering plentiful torque at low revs for accurate off-road riding and combining it with more than adequate top end power for relaxed high-speed cruising. With its rugged steel frame and long travel suspension the Tiger 800 XC has been designed for the rough stuff, with a host of optional accessories available for riders planning to spend more time off the pavement than on it. The high specification includes a factory-fitted immobilizer, adjustable 45mm upside down front forks, adjustable rider seat and hand guards. Adjustable tapered aluminum handlebars add a touch of class and off-road durability to the Tiger 800 XC, while the optional anti-lock braking system can be switched off for off-road riding. Features rt on road and compliance, when you take to the rough stuff. Switchable ABS Anti-lock brakes can be switched off for off-road riding. Built in Rear Rack Well appointed rear rack doubles as generously proportioned passenger grab rail. Watch: 2011 Speed Triple Dyno run
Tue, 05 Apr 2011With the full factory fitted arrow system and map fitted it was time to give the Speed a run on a Dyno to see where the power is at. Over two runs the best results were as follows; Power at the crank : 130bhp & 75 ft.lbs torque Power at the gearbox : 124bhp & 72 ft.lbs torque Power at the wheel : 119bhp & 69 ft.lbs torque The bike has covered 4200 miles and is due its first proper service at 6000 so you would expect to see a reduction in power. Triumph claim on a brand new bike the Speed Triple at best puts out 135bhp and 82 ft.lbs torque at the crank with the cans fitted, effectively mine has lost 5bhp and 7ft.lbs of torque.
2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Aragon Edition Models Certified in Australia
Wed, 04 Jan 2023Special edition versions of the GT Pro and Rally Pro Triumph is preparing to add a pair of special edition Tiger 900 models for 2023, according to updated vehicle certification data from Australia. Available for both the road-going Tiger 900 GT and the more off-road equipped Tiger 900 Rally, the special edition models are likely in recognition of Iván Cervantes’ victory for Triumph in the 2022 Baja Aragón last July. Australian homologation data for the Tiger 900 models was updated just before Christmas, adding two new variants: Tiger 900 GT Aragon Edition and Tiger 900 Rally Aragon Edition.
2013 Triumph Trophy Recalled for Incorrect Tire Label
Mon, 24 Dec 2012The 2013 Triumph Trophy is being recalled because a NHTSA label listing the sport-tourer’s tire data has the wrong information. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the tire label on some Triumph Trophy models list erroneous tire and laden weight information. The labels are mandated by NHTSA and can be found affixed to the left side of the main frame headstock on the Trophy.
