Triumph's awesome 1215cc three cylinder is mated to a smooth shifting 6 speed gearbox and low maintenance shaft drive. This bike features a ride-by-wire throttle system incorporating a true electronic cruise control - great for logging those highway miles. Off road, the bike is surprisingly nimble with good ergonomics and a wide, predictable power band. Whether long distance touring or back roads cruising, the Explorer is right at home. This bike has also been fitted with Triumph's lockable and removable dynamic luggage and Triumph's adjustable tall screen kit to help customize the windshield's height no matter whose in the saddle. Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas
Fri, 04 Oct 2013On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

Major Updates Coming for 2015 Triumph Tiger 800
Thu, 09 Oct 2014Triumph is set to reveal some new updates to its Tiger 800 including a number of different versions making it either more highway or more off-road oriented. The both the Tiger 800XC and the less adventure-worthy Tiger 800 will see two new variants, with the Tiger 800 likely being rebranded as the Tiger 800XR. A newly-published executive order from the California Air Resources Board reveals the names for four new Tiger 800 variants known as the XCA (likely standing for XC Adventure), XCX, XRT (or XR Touring) and XRX.
