Triumph Tiger description

Excellent condition Triumph Tiger Adventure touring / Sport touring motorcycle.

This bike does everything well. It is powerful, smooth and comfortable on the highway or back roads. It has the ABS factory upgrade which makes it a very safe bike to ride in all weather. Includes the factory Triumph removable hard bags and looks and rides great with or without the quick release removable hard bags. This is the the limited edition Black and Matte grey two tone paint scheme. It has the Triumph accessory power plug for adding a GPS or charging your phone etc., has the taller windshield which is nice for the highway but can be changed if you prefer a sportier look.

It is adult owned, garaged and maintained meticulously while I have owned it. I have recently had it serviced by the Triumph Dealer and is in great working condition; Tires and brakes are like new, newer battery, fresh coolant, brake system has been flushed and bled, new 100% synthetic oil and filter change and safety checked by the Triumph dealer. *This bike is ready to ride, needs nothing.

I have included pictures of the motorcycle and factory pics as well. Let me know if you need more. Please note; the helmets in the picture are not included, just shown to illustrate the size of the hard bags. Other than normal wear and tear, and one small white scuff on the left bag from my garage door jamb this bike is in excellent condition.

This Tiger was in a low speed accident and required repair. All of the work was done professionally, have all receipts and it is restored beautifully to original condition both cosmetically and mechanically. You are welcome to inspect it, test ride and ask me any questions. The title is clear, with a "S" suffix. It was inspected by the State of NJ after all repairs were completed. (Not a salvage title). It has a clear, clean title with no liens. Bike is ready to be registered and titled in the new owners name. Note; the gauge cluster was replaced and mileage is listed "not actual mileage".

For non local buyers I have used U-Ship.com in the past and can assist the buyer with shipping anywhere in the US. (Shipping cost would be at buyers expense). It can range from $400-$800 depending on where you are in the continental US.

This is a very good motorcycle for a great price.

Buddy Holly, Ariel Cyclone, 1958

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

Above is some fantastic home movie footage of Buddy Holly and the Crickets messing around on motorbikes in 1958. The story behind the bikes in the video starts after Buddy Holly, Joe Mauldin and Jerry Allison came back from a successful tour in 1958, flush with cash. The trio decided to spend their rock and roll dollars on brand new motorcycles.

It’s moments like these that remind me how awesome my job is. These past two days I’ve had the pleasure of riding Triumph’s new Speed Triple and Daytona 675R through some of Southern California’s greatest roads and the region’s newest racetrack, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Get a taste for my first ride impressions after the jump.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
