Triumph Tiger description

Here is a great bike, recently traded in at our dealership.  It is a 2006 Triumph Tiger 955.  It is the last year of its kind, as Triumph replaced this model with the much less popular 1050 in 2007.  What made the 2006 so great was a few things which were VERY different from the 07.  First, it has the bulletproof, torquey 955 water cooled, fuel injected triple with a six speed transmission.  That's the best engine Triumph ever built.  Next, this model had the actual on road / off road chassis (dual sport) that the 2007 lacked.  It has the extra large fuel tank for extended trips off road and away from fuel stops.  Finally, it has the aluminum mag off road wheels which allow for many, many choices in dual sport tubeless tires.  It is the best of the old Tigers in one great bike.  THIS bike has a few nice accessories as well.  It has the extended windscreen, extended mirrors, spill bars, factory "competition" silencer and the quick detatch rear saddlebags.  The saddlebags work great, but they are marked up a bit from sitting in the previous owners garage for years.  The bike is in excellent shape mechanically, with no known defects in operation.  The tires, brakes, chain and sprockets are all good to go.  The engine and transmission run just as she should, so she is smooooth and powerful.  That's it.  Buy it and ride it.  Serious bidders please.  This is a NO RESERVE auction so the high bidder gets the bike.  The winner is responsible for getting it home.  Any questions, just ask, or stop by and see it for yourself.  Thanks and good luck bidding.

Motorcycle Freestyle Rider Ernie Vigil Puts Triumph’s Scrambler Through The Wringer [Video]

Wed, 21 Mar 2012

With its on/off-road tires, spoke wheels, high rise dual exhaust, protective fork gators and flat one-piece seat and handlebar, Triumph’s Scrambler evokes notions of a McQueen-esque go anywhere, do anything machine in a modern motorcycle. It’s probably safe to assume few Scrambler owners today put their retrofied rides to the test, seeing just how much abuse the 865cc parallel-Twin-powered Scrambler can take. However, in this Triumph North America video, freestyle rider Ernie Vigil (the video’s editor and co-creator) does what most Scrambler owners wish they were capable of with their new/old Trumpet.

Speed Triple gets mean

Fri, 29 Oct 2010

I headed up the M1 this week to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley. The Speed Triple was due its 12000 mile major service and the workshop also had some new shiny bits to add to the bike for me. Service intervals are every 6000 miles which is more than bearable but the major service will cost you around £450.
