Solid running bike that needs some TLC. Front forks need to be re-sealed. Handlebars need new insulators. The turn signals have been removed buy are included in the sale. The shock bushings will need to be replaced. The left axle retainer in broken. That's the bad news. The good news is the carburetor has been updated and rebuilt as the brake master return valve. This bike is in running and stopping condition BUT will need a little more work to get it ready for long rides. New York State inspection expired 8/2015. Recall for 2011-2012 Triumph Sprint GT, Tiger 800, Tiger 800XC Optional Top Box
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for optional accessory top boxes for the 2011-2012 Sprint GT sport tourer and the Tiger 800 and 800XC dual sports. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the top box locking handle is missing a clip lip to ensure a proper lock on the rear rack. Without this clip, the locking mechanism may not be secure, potentially leading to the top box falling off of the motorcycle.
