Triumph Tiger description

Up for grabs...1971 Triumph Tiger TR6R 650.  This is a good running bike, just serviced, in nice cosmetic shape.  It is fitted with a UK-style tank (newer paint on the fenders and tank), some old-school TR mufflers, and a new seat.  Engine and frame numbers do match, all lights work, small tool kit is included.  Mileage reads just over 6,600 and is believed to be original.  Bike smokes a little from the right hand side - not mosquito fogger bad, but there's a little puff when getting on the throttle (probably rings as this bike has sat most of its life).  Starts and runs fine despite this.  This would be a great basis for a custom build if you're looking for a cool vintage, right-side shift Triumph.  Feel free to give us a call or drop us an email and we will be happy to answer any questions - thanks for checking out our auctions!
Low cost shipping may be an option, depending on your location!

Please note: we will cancel any bids from bidders with less than 10 feedback.  If you are interested but have less than 10 feedback, please give us a call.  We are advertising this bike for sale locally so we reserve the right to end the auction early, however, we will not end the auction once a bid is placed so bid early.  Thanks!

2013 Triumph Special Edition Bonneville and Speed Triple Announced

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Triumph has revealed Special Edition versions of the Bonneville and Speed Triple for 2013, proving once again that nothing delivers a bang for the buck like cosmetic enhancements to popular models. Most appealing to our eyes is the subtle but sexy Triumph Speed Triple SE (pictured above.) Its Matte Graphite color is beautifully set off by soft blue accents of the frame, swingarm, subframe and wheel pinstriping. Included on the SE are a color-matched fly screen, belly pan and seat cowl.

Rain Forces Triumph Castrol Rocket Team To Look To Bonneville 2015

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

The past two weekends have produced more than three inches of rain and sad news for Bonneville land speed racing fans.Triumph has released it official statement regarding the announcement by Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout that the course will not be ready for its Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner and others to make a 2014 FIM legal attempt at 400mph. This is not what you want to see the week before racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Photo courtesy Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout (landspeedevents.com) Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout streamliner runs were rescheduled for this weekend, October 4–5, after wet conditions earlier in the month prevented the runs on the long course required to run at these speeds.
