1971 Triumph Tiger , Restoration completed in 2007 with over $9,000 invested. Receipts, factory repro workshop manual and parts book included with purchase. Excellent mechanical condition. Needs nothing but routine maintenance and a rider! Not a numbers matching bike with all OEM parts or an original paint scheme; however, if youre looking for an outstanding classic that starts on the first kick, runs detonation free on pump gas, doesnt leak oil and gets attention wherever you go this is your British motorbike! Below is a partial list of work performed and upgrades completed: Work performed: Frame and associated parts disassembled, stripped and painted. Frame alignment checked. New seat cushion and cover installed. Rear swing-arm rebuilt with new bushings and seals fitted. Fuel tank stripped, painted and sealed. New UK chrome rims with stainless steel spokes installed. Wheel hubs stripped and powder coated. Hubs and brakes rebuilt with new bearings and seals fitted. All worn parts replaced. All unsightly engine and frame chrome pieces rechromed or replaced. Rebuilt speedometer, tachometer and new cables installed. Clutch and primary chain mechanism rebuilt. All worn parts replaced. Transmission and shifter mechanism rebuilt. All bearings, bushings and worn parts replaced. New US made final drive chain installed. Semi-custom exhaust with baffled straight pipes fitted. FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.

2013 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Report

The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.

2012 Triumph Daytona 675, 675R Recalled in Canada for Missing Throttle Cable Guide

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 and 675R because certain units may be missing a throttle cable guide. Without the guide, the throttle cable may get stuck in the steering stop, preventing the throttle from opening or closing properly. Such a situation could result in a loss of propulsion or, if the throttle is stuck open, could make it difficult to slow or stop the motorcycle.
