Triumph Tiger description

FULLY RESTORED CLASSIC BIKE
      1954 TRIUMPH T110     TIGER
  • 1954 Triumph T110 Tiger

This listing is for a correct and beautifully restored Triumph Tiger.  The restoration was done entirely by Roger Jones of Georgia.  The workmanship is (as usual with Roger’s restorations) outstanding.  The motorcycle is matching number frame and engine.  The 650cc engine was completely rebuilt as well as all mechanicals.  The engine was started and “check run”  to ensure everything was in order (no fuel was put in this tank during this check). The odometer reads 12 miles   .The carb and fuel lines were drained . At that time motorcycle was prepared for storage. Since then it has been on display in my personal collection…..and in a climate controlled environment.  The 1954 Tiger was unique as it was intended to be Triumph’s performance motorcycle built on the tradition of the Thunderbird.  It was the first year of the swing arm suspension and had a raised boss on the rear brake plate that locked in and moved in a groove in the swing arm.  That was 1954 only and this motorcycle has the correct configuration….somewhat rare to find!  1954 T110 also had the unique “pie crust” front brake drum.  Again, this motorcycle has the correct (and rare) configuration.  Moving to the bodywork and correct paint on the motorcycle…..some of the best anywhere!  Look closely at the detail in the pictures….I think you will agree. Other features include NOS tail lamp, correct headlamp and the list goes on and on.  This motorcycle is one of Triumph’s outstanding Pre Units….It’s a 650cc….and it’s beautifully restored!  The price guides show this motorcycle in #1 or excellent condition (which this one certainly is) in a range of $17,000 to $18,540.  This motorcycle (clear title) is being offered at a very reasonable starting bid of $13,850.  You will not be disappointed!

    IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
Please note that we sell motorcycles on consignment.  If the motorcycle is a “rider”, then we clean it, check fluids and start it….then photo and list it.  If the motorcycle is restored and has been in a private collection, then we clean it, photo it and list it.  If you buy one of these outstanding, restored motorcycles and intend to ride it, we recommend that you carefully service the motorcycle (or have this done by a professional) to prepare it for the road.  Things such as tires may be New Old Stock, more than 25 years old and as such are quite valuable, but, potentially not roadworthy.  Thank you for your understanding.  We love selling these incredible motorcycles….we want every buyer to be pleased and safe!

This Used to be a Triumph Daytona 675 Race Bike [Video]

Thu, 29 Sep 2011

Crashes occur fairly often during motorcycle races but rarely do we see a race bike get as spectacularly demolished as this Triumph Daytona 675. The crash took place during the Sept.  11 Donington Park round of the Triumph Triple Challenge, a support class in the British Superbike series featuring the Triumph Daytona 675. Rider Ash Beech low sides going into a corner and thankfully slides relatively safely into the grass.
