Beautiful 1953 Triumph Thunderbird motorcycle. Complete engine restoration along with professional paint and correct cad plating of all parts that are supposed to be plated. New tires, modern electronic regulator hidden in the original housing. New tires and tubes, restored speedo that works great. Some new fasteners along with many original fasteners that were re-plated. Minor ding in the paint on the tank as pictured from transporting it to a show but comes with extra paint for any desired touch-ups. Former owner/ Triumph expert produced water slide decals for vintage Triumph's and was the guy who found and restored James Dean's original Triumph which was auctioned for a small fortune some years back. This was his personal pet project which I acquired shortly before he passed several years ago. It was mostly complete when I got it and I had help from P. T. Customs (noted
British bike specialist of west Michigan) and consult from Bill Horde,
another area expert to complete the restoration. It's been judged twice at national AMCA meets and has acquired a junior and senior first place marks with 96 out of 100 points for a correct restoration. Aside from being absolutely beautiful and nearly perfect it is a joy to ride as well. Starts on the first kick, nimble and quick off the line. Thrilling and easy to ride vintage machine. Comes with several extra rubbers, parts manual and riders manual from another triumph bike but much of the info carry's over and AMCA plaque badges, and judging sheet. Many receipts are included as well. Opening bid is less than what I have into this one. Offered locally as well, any questions feel free to call (616) 874-7130. 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 Revealed; Graphics Both Bolder and Newer
Thu, 01 Sep 2011Triumph revealed the 2012 edition of its Daytona 675 supersport, featuring a few cosmetic changes from the 2011 model. For 2012, the Triumph Daytona675 will be available in Phantom Black or Diablo Red. Cosmetic updates include new decals, updated Triumph script on the fuel tank, and a jet black bellypan similar to the Daytona 675R unveiled earlier this year.
South West Motorcycle Show 2010, August 28th & 29th
Tue, 17 Aug 2010Need something to do on August Bank Holiday weekend, then read below: "Although the South West Motorcycle Show has been running at the Westpoint Arena for the last sixteen years, 2010 is the first year that the show hosts the all-new Vertical Trix European Stunt Championship. The show contains all the usual attractions that have been delivered to motorcyclists from over the south-west and further afield since 1994 – including all the appropriate trade stands, and with strong support from local dealers – plus attractions such a a dyno on site, restaurant, bar, bike displays, live music and of course the live action arena. Although the action in the show arena has previously been stunt displays, rather than a full-on competition.
2014 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Concourse d’ Elegance Report
Wed, 06 Aug 2014The 2014 edition of the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show continued its now 23-year tradition as the premier outdoor streetbike event in America with producer photographer Jim Gianatsis moving the show this year to the beautiful green lawns of the Malibu Golf Course among the twisty canyon roads in the Santa Monica Mountains alongside the Pacific Ocean. Highlighting this year’s exciting activities was the emergence of another new and soon to be renown custom bike builder to the sport for which the Calendar Show is known for cultivating. Taking Best of Show in this year’s Calendar Bike Building Championship was Calin Senciac’s Imagine Vehicles International / ImagineVehicles.com motorsports fabrication shop with an incredible custom billet aluminum designed chassis built by Terry Ward and the shop crew, housing a legendary 1979 Honda CBX 1047cc air-cooled in-line 6-cylinder engine.
