Fitted with additional adjustable front forks, an RSU with both pre-load and damping adjustment the Street Triple R offers renowned ride quality, handling and control. The liquid-cooled 12-valve triple, combined with a close ratio 6-speed gearbox produce an exhilarating ride, and the under-engine silencer helps lower the center gravity and improve handling. The Nissin radial 4-piston brakes are built to match the bike’s high performance, coping easily with higher speed and rapid deceleration. And the Street Triple R features state-of-the-art anti-lock brakes as standard that can cope with even the hardest braking. And because the ABS system is switchable, it can be easily deactivated whenever necessary via the instrument panel – it will then automatically re-activate when the motorbike is re-started. Triumph did a lot more than just slap a partial fairing on the RS. While it’s still not a fully-faired sportbike (hence why it’s still a Speed Triple and not a Daytona), the RR is a much more track-focused machine than the RS.
2012 Triumph Street Triple sighted
Fri, 03 Jun 2011Whilst sauntering home from work the other evening, in a double-take I stumbled upon a 2012 Triumph Street Triple, the one with the 675 engine. Thinking that I had discovered a 'scoop' that this bike was being previewed in Islington I hastily took shots on my (un)smart phone - only to find out that the 2012 Street Triple has already been released to the streets of the UK. Peers have described the new slanty lights of the Speed/Street Triple as 'looking a bit mongoloid' but I have to disagree.

Sat, 02 Feb 2019The sportbike is powered by a 765cc three-cylinder engine that first debuted on the naked Street Triple and then became the standard for the Moto2 racing class. The equipment will include an Öhlins NIX30 inverted fork and a rear TTX monoshock, Brembo Stylema braking system, TFT instrument panel, tilting ABS and a drive mode select system.
