2013 TRIUMPH Street Triple R ABS - Crystal White, Triumph s engineers have honed this roadster to perfection, giving it supersport specification, suspension and brakes. With power, torque and even more excitement, this is the most fun you can have on two wheels. Its lightweight chassis is even more dynamic, delivering greater levels of agility and precision while keeping you firmly planted. Fitted with additional adjustable front forks, an RSU with both pre-load and damping adjustment the Street Triple R offers renowned ride quality, handling and control. The liquid-cooled 12-valve triple, combined with a close ratio 6-speed gearbox produce an exhilarating ride, and the under-engine silencer helps lower the center gravity and improve handling. The Nissin radial 4-piston brakes are built to match the bike s high performance, coping easily with higher speed and rapid deceleration. And the Street Triple R features state-of-the-art anti-lock brakes as standard that can cope with even the hardest braking. And because the ABS system is switchable, it can be easily deactivated whenever necessary via the instrument panel it will then automatically re-activate when the motorbike is re-started. The Street Triple R has distinctive good looks too, with stylish brushed metal finishes, aggressive headlights and a choice of colors complimenting the dark powder coated engine and the telltale red rear subframe, red side radiator cowls, and red pin stripe detailing to the wheels. Triumph Unveils 2014 Modern Classics for North America
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Triumph is introducing updating its line of Modern Classics, which in 2014 includes not only the Bonneville, T100, Thruxton and Scrambler, but a new blacked-out T100 and a Bonneville Special Edition. The freshened bikes feature new color schemes, machined cooling fins and new mufflers. Bonneville - With a 17” cast front wheel, the 2014 Triumph Bonneville sports a rider-friendly seat height of just over 29 inches.

Triumph did a lot more than just slap a partial fairing on the RS. While it’s still not a fully-faired sportbike (hence why it’s still a Speed Triple and not a Daytona), the RR is a much more track-focused machine than the RS.

Tue, 05 Apr 2011With the full factory fitted arrow system and map fitted it was time to give the Speed a run on a Dyno to see where the power is at. Over two runs the best results were as follows; Power at the crank : 130bhp & 75 ft.lbs torque Power at the gearbox : 124bhp & 72 ft.lbs torque Power at the wheel : 119bhp & 69 ft.lbs torque The bike has covered 4200 miles and is due its first proper service at 6000 so you would expect to see a reduction in power. Triumph claim on a brand new bike the Speed Triple at best puts out 135bhp and 82 ft.lbs torque at the crank with the cans fitted, effectively mine has lost 5bhp and 7ft.lbs of torque.
