The all-new 2013 model is even punchier, better balanced and more exhilarating. The new chassis has a more dynamic specification, giving you agility and precision while keeping you planted, and better weight distribution and geometry give you an athletic, responsive ride. The heart of the Street Triple is the throbbing 675 cc triple, delivering 106 PS and 68 Nm of torque. Its so good youll have trouble believing its only 675 cc. The torque and sound of the liquid-cooled 12-valve triple, combined with a close ratio 6-speed gearbox produce an exciting ride, and the under-engine silencer helps lower the center gravity and improve handling. 2014 Triumph America Horizon Revealed in CARB Documentation
Mon, 18 Mar 2013New documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal the existence of a new model from Triumph to be called the America Horizon for the 2014 model year. As its name implies, the 2014 Triumph America Horizon will likely be based on the existing Triumph America (the 2012 America is pictured above with touring accessories as an illustration.) The CARB documents confirm it will use the same 865cc parallel-Twin engine as the America as well as the Bonneville, Scrambler, Thruxton and the Speedmaster. We predict a claimed output of 60hp at 6800rpm and 53 ft-lb.
Recall for 2010 Triumph Thunderbird
Mon, 16 May 2011Triumph Motorcycles is starting a recall campaign on certain 2010 Thunderbird cruisers due to a problem with the front fender fasteners. On certain 2010 Triumph Thunderbirds, including some ABS-equipped units, the four screws on the front fender mounts may come loose. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the plating used on the fender mounting included friction modifiers which are not compatible with the thread lock compound used on the screws.
