Tires are basically new.The lively, hard-accelerating Sprint RS combines high performance and excellent handling with versatility and presents it in a lean, half-faired style that is very much its own. Like the Sprint ST and Speed Triple, the Sprint RS is powered by a fuel-injected, 12-valve triple engine tuned to give huge reserves of midrange torque plus a peak power output of 110PS (108bhp) at 9200rpm. Peak torque is 97Nm (72ft.lb), produced at just 6200rpm. The motor, finished in silver and graphite grey, is on display beneath a sleek half-fairing that holds Triumph's trademark twin elliptical headlamps. The frame is a twin-spar aluminium construction, finished in contrasting matt black, which provides high rigidity and anchors the light, stiff twin-sided swing-arm that was especially designed for this bike. The lean look is further underlined by the RS's sporty yet comfortable riding position, while generous ground clearance, powerful brakes and efficient suspension complete this versatile machine. Despite its visual simplicity the Sprint RS is well equipped, with thoughtful details including the all-electronic instrument console (featuring digital speedometer and clock, two digital trip meters and an analogue tachometer) plus the removable rear seat cowl.KEY FEATURES Engine: Lightweight, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 3-cylinder engine with DOHC, 12 valves, tuned for a huge spread of torque across the rev range.
