WE SPOTTED this one earlier on French website Motorevue: a Swede, Sivert Raask, has concocted a this motorcycle from Triumph's 1600cc Thunderbird cruiser, with the use of a handmade seat, a Ducati tank and a bit of cunning.Quite tasty for a home-brewed effort, don't you think? I headed up the M1 this week to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley. The Speed Triple was due its 12000 mile major service and the workshop also had some new shiny bits to add to the bike for me. Service intervals are every 6000 miles which is more than bearable but the major service will cost you around £450.

FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
